Dubai retail giant Majid Al Futtaim will be opening two major low priced and value based supermarkets and stores in the City by November this year.
According to a statement released by Nairobi governor Evans Kidero yesterday, the Emirati holding company based in Dubai will set up shop in Karen and Two Rivers shopping centre in Runda. The stores will create employment opportunities for 460 Youths.

460 Youths in Nairobi County are set to benefit with the coming in of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa. In the spirit of attracting and creating more investor opportunities in Nairobi County, Majid Al Futtaim will be opening two (2) major Low priced and value based supermarkets and stores in the City by November this year.
One will be located in Karen whereas another in Two Rivers, Runda. FrankMoreau, will be the Country Manager-Kenya and Emmanuel Naud, Store General Manager-The Hub.
Majid Al Futtaim is a successful Group with 74 supermarkets and stores in 14 Countries Worldwide. They also will be looking into adopting one Nairobi City County school as one of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
This further confirms Nairobi City as one of the most preferable investment destinations in Africa and we are yet to see more of this. This investment opportunity will present a choice of variety to our well deserving resident and above all create more employment opportunities to the residents of Nairobi City.
