Regina Nyambura, says she has since forgiven the men.
According to a local daily, the prosecution team rejected the application on grounds that the matter was of public interest and that violent robbery is a serious offence in the country.
Regina who was stripped naked and assaulted on December 17 claimed that appearing in court was taking too much of her time.
“I just want to forgive them; they are just like my brothers, and I have a lot to do including providing for my children. I’m not expecting any payment for that. I believe they have suffered enough and learnt their lesson.” She told the Court.
The court however urged the complainant to consider the charges before withdrawing. They ruled that there is no urgency in the matter to have the case withdrawn.
The application to have the case withdrawn will be heard on March 11.
