The fire that engulfed the international arrivals terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport may have been a blessing in disguise. New structures have been put up at super speed.
Just months after the opening on Terminal 1A, the new interim Terminal 2 is almost ready.
It is made of prefabricated material since it’s just a temporary solution as construction starts on the main thing. Despite this, it is still a superb structure that will increase the airport’s capacity to 7.5 million passengers a year.
Terminal 2 will be opened by the end of this month.
