Leaders from all political divide yesterday united in grief during the requiem service of the late Fidel Castro Odinga. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were among the mourners at All Saints Cathedral.
Eulogizing Fidel, Uhuru said, “We can learn a lot from Fidel’s life which we can use to heal our country. He bore no grudges. Fidel was a man who knew how to cross political, religious and ethnic divides and could reach out to anyone he wanted to. He was a person who did not use tribe or religion as a guide in building links with other people. We need less shouting at each other and more of talking with one another. May God Rest His Soul in Eternal Peace.”
