Sauti Sol to Reward The Highest MAMA Awards Voter

The ace boy band, Sauti Sol has been nominated in the Best Group category MAMA Awards, and is currently rallying their fans to vote for them overwhelmingly, to help them “bring this thing home.” The band, still riding on their hit Nishike, has promised to reward one Kenyan who will record the highest number of votes for them. The band is up against South Africa’s Big Nuz, Mafikizolo and Mi Casa and Nigerian hot shots Burna Boy and P Square.
“We are keeping a close look on the voting trends. On our online sites, we are urging our fans to vote for us as many times as possible. In return, the person with the highest votes will walk away with the throne that I sat on during the Nishike video shoot. It’s high time that we showed support to our artistes. We are ranked among other Africa’s big names and its upon our beloved fans to propel us to the next level. And that will start with them voting for us for the MAMA award,” said group’s Bien Eime Baraza.
Other Kenyan nominees are Amani for her collabo track Kiboko Changu with Uganda’s duo Radio & Weasel (Best Collaboration) and Oscar-winner Lupita Nyongo in the Personality of the Year category.
