April 29, 2014

msNgugi-598x350Former KTN and K24 news anchor, Anne Ngugi’s court battle could collapse after the Nigerian businessman suing her and her Congolese husband went into hiding. This is after police questioned the legitimacy of his trade.
The prosecution now reckon that the case against her and Hypolite Nyogbia could collapse. The Nigerian businessman, Mr Fabian Chibiebule had accused Ms Ngugi, Mr Nyogbia and a business aide, Mr Kamimbaya Soumali of defrauding him and his Korean associates of Sh 6.4 million last year. They allegedly pretended they could sell them 50 kilogrammes of gold.
Investigators revealed that Mr Fabian had refused to record a statement and efforts to track him have been futile. They said they had summoned him for questioning over the nature of his business after the huge amount in contention raised red flags.
Ms Ngugi and Soumali denied the charges and are out on bail while Mr Nyogbia’s whereabouts are still unknown.
