President Uhuru Kenyatta is the root cause of the ongoing political tension in Mt Kenya region, city preacher Godfrey Migwi has claimed.
“I will repeat without apology that President Uhuru Kenyatta is the cause of the political turmoil in central Kenya,” said the bishop in a lengthy sermon.
Bishop Migwi further accused President Kenyatta of arm-twisting Mt Kenya MPs allied to Ruto to abandon the Deputy President and his 2022 political ambitions.
The House of Hope church leader has also faulted the Head of State over the treatment of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.
Migwi recalled an instance when President Uhuru declined to help the lawmaker in a development project in his constituency.
“Hon. Ndindi asked Uhuru politely to help build a class or donate a bus to a certain school, Uhuru responded arrogantly that Ndindi should use CDF,” said the outspoken cleric.
Bishop Migwi went on to claim that Uhuru sent nominated MP Maina Kamanda to a church harambee in Kiharu with a Ksh1 million donation.
According to Migwi, the president demonstrated double standards because his allies have been condemning DP Ruto for donating large sums of money in churches.
“They staged a church Harambee in Kiharu and Uhuru sent 1M with Kamanda and a troop of other MPs who have been undermining DP Ruto and Ndindi in central Kenya,” Pastor Migwi said.
