American singer/songwriter and pastor Donald James “Don Moen” is in the country ahead of a highly anticipated concert on Saturday.
Moen, who is also a producer of Christian worship music, arrived in Nairobi on Wednesday night. He landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport covered in a Maasai shawl.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Don Moen wrote: “GOOD MORNING NAIROBI: Thanks for the warm welcome last night. I’m looking forward to Saturday night as we come together in unity to worship God.”
Moen will be the headliner of the Nairobi Worship Concert at CITAM Karen from 5 pm to 10 pm. He will be joined on stage by his friend and singer Lenny LeBlanc.
Also in the lineup are Mercy Masika, Adawnage Band, Rebekah Dawn, and Worship Factory.
Tickets for the “ultimate worship experience” cost Sh2,000 in advance, Sh2,500 at the gate and Sh3,500 for the gold circle.
This is the Moen’s second trip to Kenya.
In 2015, Deputy President William Ruto hosted he and Leblanc to dinner at his Karen home.
Ruto said it was a privilege for the renowned artists to be in Kenya and added they bring a message of hope.
