It is often said that Kenyan politics is a joke, and more comedians are joining the dirty game. ‘Vitimbi’ actress Eunice Wambui, better known as Nyasuguta, is joining politics.
Nyasu, as she is fondly referred to is eyeing the parliamentary seat for Embakasi South Constituency( currently held by Irshad Sumra) in the upcoming 2017 General Elections.
Speaking to a local tabloid, Nyasuguta revealed that is has not been an easy ride as people are finding it hard to beleive her because she is a comedian.
“Some of them still can’t differentiate my character from TV to the politician that I plan to become. On the other hand, most of them have embraced me for my simplicity and they know I’m the type of person who will understand them and represent them well in Parliament,” Nyasuguta told Heads Up.
Nyasuguta will be running on a Jubilee ticket.
