Retired President Mwai Kibaki yesterday made his first public appearance since he was discharged from hospital.

Kibaki reportedly suffered a stroke a few weeks ago, which saw him admitted to a South African hospital. He made a silent return to the country and now appears to be in perfect health.

The former head of state attended the 12 o’clock mass at Consolata Shrine in Westlands yesterday. The presiding father asked the congregation to keep praying for him. Here are some photos.
