Barely two months after GOtv increased prices on two of its monthly bouquets, the digital pay tv company has reversed the May increase on one of its tariff plans, GOtv Value, and made a similar tariff slash on its GOtv Lite package.
GOtv Value subscribers will now pay Sh470 per month down from Sh650, translating into a 28 percent price slash, while customers on the GOtv Lite package will now pay Sh160 per month, or Sh840 per annum, down from Sh1,800.
The new tariffs on its Lite and Value packages take effect starting August 20.
GOtv Lite subscribers will also get access to two new channels, Emmanuel TV and SuperSport Blitz, in addition to the 14 existing channels on the bouquet.
The cost of the GOtv decoder and GOtenna also drops to Sh2,999 from Sh3,999 beginning August 1.
The decoder alone will retail at Sh1,999 and comes bundled with a one-month free GOtv Plus
Subscribers of the premium GOtv Plus will continue to fork out Sh 920 per month.
In May, GOtv raised tariffs on GOtv Value from Sh599 to Sh650 and GOtv Plus from Sh 849 to Sh 920. The GOtv Lite price remained unchanged.
