He belonged to the Sidho clan in Kano and he was believed to have once walked the shores of Lake Victoria. Luanda Magere is a popular folklore of Kenya’s Luo community. He was a mighty warrior who possessed unearthly powers and his flesh was made of stone.
He was famously known for his ability to tear his enemies apart. If you have heard the tale and loved it, brace yourself for an animated film about the mighty warrior that is set to hit the screens at the beginning of next year.
The film is a production of LeftEye Studios, a Kenyan animation outfit that has been in the animation industry since 2006. It specialises in 3D, 2D, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics.
LeftEye has released a preview of the animated Lwange Magere film that is set for release on January.
