Like they say, ‘Your gift will bring you before great men.’ That’s an adage that rings true for arguably Kenya’s most talented pencil artist Collins Okello, popularly known as Jaduong’.

The Kisumu based pencil maestro has seen his talent meet the who’s who in the country. And it all started with President Uhuru Kenyatta who accorded him a State House invite and tour.

Among the many public personalities who have been left impressed by his talent is U.S President Barack Obama. Locally, he has done portraits for The First Lady, Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga, Jeff Koinange, Larry Madowo and Nairobi senator Mike Sonko.

The latter seems to have been thoroughly impressed by Collins’ first work that he recently commissioned another one.
