UoN imageThe Students Organization of Nairobi University(SONU) has a bone to pick with the management of popular Club 1824, for alleged harassment and molestation at the hands of bouncers and staff of the Lang’ata Road joint.

The Babu Owino led student body has written a letter to the Inspector General of Police, to express their intention to peacefully demonstrate within and around the club on Tuesday(today). This is after a student from the varsity was allegedly beaten to a pulp by bouncers after a minor altercation.

A social media user, Peter Oposh Jabunde Outa, broke the news on Facebook with a graphic photo of the student saying;

“I hear that 1824 whiskey bar bouncers love beating up patrons because they are luo. A morning spent at St. Mary’s Hospital seeing someone who was beaten up an left for dead is how i am spending my morning”

Here’s the letter

Following the letter by Babu Owino, 1824 wrote back.
