Tuesday was another night of flash floods in Nairobi, with many roads completely impassable for hours. The usual culprits; the likes of Langata Road, South B, Mbagathi, Kileleshwa were flooded again.
Makini School bus stalled near South C Mosque and reports have it that kids were forced to climb on top of it when the water became too much. It had 11 pupils and 3 adults at the time, and it was not until 4:30 am today that Red Cross managed to move in and rescue them. They were taken for breakfast at Boma Hotel.
We have a collection of photos from around Nairobi.
UPDATE: The Makini School kids were rescued early this morning and Red Cross hosted them at Boma Hotel for breakfast.
And this is the situation at Kenya Power Nairobi West sub-station. As you can imagine, most areas in South B and C have no power.
