The first lady had been impressive since the first day she set her foot in the house on the hill. She has decided to be different from her predecessors and by that she has been out to bring positive change in the society. From participating in marathons, doing campaigns and featuring in adverts, she has created awareness for the most critical issues in the community.
Her ‘Beyond Zero’ campaign that seeks to stop maternal and newborn deaths in the country has seen her get recognized by the UN. During the 69th united Nations Day held at Gigiri, Nairobi she was named the UN person of the year.
