On Monday afternoon, shoppers and businesspeople at Galleria Mall were given a scare of their lives after gunshots rent the air.
A car sped toward the mall entrance and rammed into parked vehicles. It continued emitting smoke as according to some accounts, the driver was still pressing the accelerator. With the memories of Westgate fresh, nearby police allegedly shot at the car. The driver was reportedly experiencing an epileptic seizure.
This was the statement Galleria Mall put out.
