Danish beauty and Hollywood actress, Connie Nielsen famed for her roles in various Hollywood movies like Gladiator and 3 Days To Kill is in the country for a noble cause.
The Devil’s Advocate actress is in Nairobi as part of her Human Needs Project, which provides clean water, energy and technology to slums worldwide.
In a press release Connie had this to say, “They have no access to (the) means to change their lives,” adding, “The daily weight of just having to get water, go to the bathroom, take a shower is so enormous, so difficult that they cannot get (beyond) pursuing their basic needs. There are a billion people living like this.”
The co founder of the Human Needs Project was in Kibera yesterday for her second time after she first got to interact with Kibera residents in 2010 when she was in the country shooting the movie, Lost In Africa.
