Dr Alfred Mutua has always hit the headlines for all the good reasons. His actions and development projects for Machakos county thus far, largely speak for themselves.
The CORD governor has now distanced himself from the series of regional rallies being held by CORD. Dr. Mutua through his social media accounts has come out to say that now is not the time for politics but for working for the electorate.
In one tweet, Dr. Mutua posted what seemed to be directed at the leadership of his party, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and the rest. “The role of politics is to direct development. Political wrangling and raising temperatures is going to make Kenyans poorer.”
In a more specific post on Facebook, Dr Mutua said: “My people of Machakos want roads, water, and food. They do not wish to see me in political rallies while they wallow in poverty.”
Let’s wait what will happen when CORD takes their rally to Machakos in two weeks time.
