A 47-year-old man from Meru County survived a brutal criminal attack but his testicles weren’t as fortunate after they were crushed by the man’s assailants.
The man, who is undergoing treatment at the Meru Level Five hospital, had to undergo a surgical procedure to remove his testicles, Standard reports.
The victim was reportedly waylaid by two men as he walked home after a night out at Kithaku market two weeks ago.
Confirming the incident, Imenti Central police boss John Tarrus said the man’s testicles were crushed by hands and left in a situation that could not be undone.
This prompted the surgery to remove the testicles completely.
Tarrus further stated that the two men sodomised the man who is a tea farmer.
The police boss added that the victim lost Sh200 which he had in his possession. Investigations are ongoing.
This comes as residents complained that crime has increased in the area and called for government intervention.
