The East African rumor mill has been working overtime with reports that Bongo sensation Ali Kiba and his Kenyan wife Amina Khalef are headed for divorce barely two years after exchanging their vows.

The rumors spread like wildfire on social media after Ali Kiba’s younger brother Abdu held his son’s birthday party at his brother’s house with their wives conspicuously missing.

But speaking to Bongo5, Ali Kiba warned that not everything on social media should be taken at face value.

At the same time, the musician came clean on the rumours, admitting that his marriage is on the rocks. He, however, clarified that he has not divorced his wife.

“It is true our marriage is on the rocks, but it is not true that I have divorced her,” he said.

Ali Kiba additionally denied reports that the cause of their marital problems was because of Amina’s refusal to stay in Tanzania with his mother and siblings.

”I have not taken her back to Mombasa. It is also not true that she refused to stay with my mother and siblings. Stop spreading lies and work,” he added.
