Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has done what he does best whenever one of his children achieves a significant milestone; splashing the cash on an expensive gift.

The governor’s adopted daughter Janet Kahingi, alias Janetta Nyamu, is the latest of the large Sonko family to attain a milestone in education. Ms Nyamu on Saturday graduated from Daystar University with a business diploma.

And as she embarks on her degree, Ms Nyamu will have it easier after Sonko rewarded her with a car.

Her adoptive mother, Nairobi First Lady Primrose Mbuvi, posted to social media a video Ms Nyamu driving the sleek German machine – a convertible Mercedes Benz. She wrote, “From Dad with Love💕🙏once again Congrats Daughter janneta_nyamu. Enjoy your new ride💥👌as you continue with your degree.”

Janetta also took to her Instagram page to share the same video and to pen a long heartfelt post thanking Governor Sonko and Primrose.
