Award-winning gospel music DJ Sammy Muraya alias DJ Mo has explained why he is not too attached to his wedding ring.

According to DJ Mo, he does not wear his ring all the time because wedding rings do not have that much of a meaning. Furthermore, he says the ring reacts with his finger but he makes sure he has it, anytime he goes for a show.

Speaking during a radio interview, the ‘Crossover 101’ show resident DJ added that a wedding ring does not mean one is faithful to their partner.

Because a wedding ring doesn’t really mean anything. It is a symbol of someone is married. I wear it when I am going on shows. The rings react with me. I don’t believe a person wearing a ring means that they are faithful or it shows that love is in their heart,” he said.

DJ Mo also spoke about the striking resemblance between his daughter Ladasha Belle and DJ Pierra Makena’s Ricca Pokot.

“When people are young, they look alike. I can never deny my blood and if she was my child, I would never deny that, but unfortunately, she is not my child,” DJ Mo  said, adding, “Pierra is my good friend and if the child is mine why should I refuse to accept.”

On his chemistry with TV partner Grace Ekirapa, Mo said, “Grace is a good friend of mine and we work together. I always clap for those who claim we match and actually laugh about it because we know it is just our chemistry that is good.”

DJ Mo also spoke about his new business venture; Friends Car-wash, Beauty parlor and a barbershop in Kilimani at Dennis Pritt road opposite St Georges girls high school.

“It has taken me and my wife six months to work on this and we thank God finally it’s open,” DJ Mo said adding that he loves dealing with cars.

“I have been frustrated the many times I have taken my cars to a car wash because of bad services, the parlour and barber is for Size 8 who is known to love everything about beauty,” Mo said.
