In what looks like a case of too much rain combined with shoddy workmanship, tenants of an apartment complex in Ruaka were today left in shock when they woke up to find a collapsed wall and a car inside a huge foundation hole.

From pictures posted on social media, it appears like there was some construction going on in the neighbouring plot. The foundation hole was too close to the complete building’s parking wall. Rain water must have acted on the foundation’s mud wall, causing landslide-like movements.

The result was a collapse of the bordering wall, and one vehicle from the parking falling into the pit. Another one is seen hanging by a thread. Luckily, no one was injured in the overnight incident.

Here are some pictures.
