Four suspects linked to the assault of varsity student Kelvin Mango were arraigned in Court on Monday.
The accused: Robert Momanyi, Collins Neriko, Stanley Rimbere and Stephen Kimeu appeared in court in the morning on charges of causing grievous harm to Kelvin Mango Odour.
Mango was invited for drinks at Stanley’s “Stano” house along Kirichwa Road in Nairobi’s Kilimani area at around 4 pm by Robert Omwenga Momanyi, a former Makadara MP aspirant.
Upon arrival, the suspects together with three others pounced on Mango and took turns flogging him until his lucky escape at around 5 am.
Appearing before Magistrate Martha Mutuku, the four suspects denied causing grievous harm and malicious damage. Three others are still at large and are being sought by the office of the DCI.
The Milimani Chief Magistrate released the four suspects on a Ksh.300, 000 cash bail and a bond of Ksh. 500,000 with one surety each.
The hearing for the case was set for June 13.
The DCI on Monday released images of two suspects who are still at large: Innocent Samba and Mr.James Luambe Odete.
