It’s the first week of a New Year when most people are usually buzzing with renewed energy, expectations and resolutions.

While the start of a new year is full of good intentions for new habits and positive development, it is estimated that under ten per cent of us will actually follow through on our resolutions.

Either way, that statistic has not stopped most of us from setting New Year goals; This is best evidenced by the tens of thousands of tweets by internet users who are currently listing the things they will avoid this year through the Twitter trending topic hashtag #ThingsToAvoidIn2019.

We have sampled some reactions by Kenyans on Twitter.
