The Kenya Meteorological Department has informed Kenyans to expected more downpour this month.

In a statement on Tuesday, the weatherman warned that most parts of the country will experience near-average to above-average rainfall. Most of the Northwestern and parts of Southwestern Kenya are, however, likely to experience near-average to below-average rainfall during the month.

The rains are expected to cease during the third and fourth week of December, said the weatherman, adding, “Narok County, however, is likely to experience rainfall up to the end of December and into early January 2019.”

Despite the rainy season, the weather man says poor crop performance is expected. This is attributed to poor rainfall experienced in the previous months.

The statement also noted that water levels at the Turwel and Seven Folks hydroelectric power generating dams are expected to remain the same.
