Titus Wagithomo aka Tito, husband of award-winning actress Nyce Wanjeri has come out to address reports of a failed marriage with the former Auntie Boss actress.
Tito, a comedian and parody musician, on the night of November 1 set tongues wagging when he posted on his Facebook account that their marriage is over.
According to Tito, Nyce Wanjeri’s success was to blame as he accused the comedy actress of absenteeism.
“Why am I using Facebook? My marriage is over. So painful I swear. I saw it coming though. Success causes absenteeism, lack of bonding and lack of family time. Why did I imagine we last forever? We are both artists. It’s not normal. It doesn’t work,” Titus posted.
This comes two months after Nyce Wanjeri won Best Actress Comedy Movie/TV Series award in the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) which in turn ushered a flurry of endorsement deals and better acting offers.
Tito Wagithomo has now changed his tune and has since deleted the post. He explains that the post is now in the past as the couple tries to work out their differences.
“What I had said was past tense. It’s best I sort of know exactly what is happening. I can’t conclude now. Everything has its ups and downs and I think it’s too soon to decide or know what is happening,” Tito told Word Is.
Asked if the two are still an item, he said: “It is better we take time to figure out what is up. Ask yourself why the post is no longer there.”
On if they have settled their differences, Tito said, “Let’s say yes…At times not everything works. We have our ups and downs, which is normal. I may have acted out of the feelings I [had] at that time but it’s something we are handling.”
Nyce Wanjeri is yet to address the reports and only dropped a hint on Instagram saying, “I have a lot to say, but not the time to tell it. I guess life goes on, Of God Are Many!!”
