A form two student was on Tuesday arraigned in court for allegedly attempting to stab a fellow student in Embu County.

Appearing before Embu Senior Resident Magistrate Jean Ndengeri, the female student was charged with intent to commit a felony.

The Court heard that the girl carried a knife to school and was to use it to stab a fellow student with whom they had a disagreement over body cream. It was said that the girl had told other students that she would cause harm to the complainant.

The Magistrate was told that the students then reported the matter to the school’s administration and the accused was found with a knife tucked under her skirt.

The girl denied that charges and was released on a bond of Sh10,000 with a surety of similar amount.

The matter will be heard on November 6, 2018.
