Uhuru Kenyatta is set to host British Prime Minister Theresa May in Nairobi on August 30.

The meeting will come three days after President Kenyatta’s meeting with U.S President Donald Trump at the White House.

Uhuru is also scheduled to meet another world leader in China’s President Xi Jinping. They are set to meet in Beijing, China on September 1-5, 2018.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma. She termed the purposes of the meetings as avenues of “positioning Kenya globally.”

The meetings with the three leaders of world superpowers will be centralized on trade, security, and infrastructure.

Uhuru’s meeting with Trump is expected to reaffirm the longstanding relationship between the United States and Kenya as a cornerstone of peace and stability in Africa and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

“President Trump and President Kenyatta will explore ways to bolster trade and investment between the two countries while strengthening security cooperation.

“Kenya is a vital partner of the United States, and President Trump looks forward to discussing ways to broaden the strategic partnership based on our shared democratic values and mutual interests,” said the White House.
