Kenyan socialite turned businesswoman Vera Sidika is officially the proprietor of the newest beauty parlour in Nairobi.

The former video vixen and reality TV star on Sunday launched the self-titled beauty spot at Western Heights in Westlands. The white and gold themed event was graced by among others, Vera’s close friends, Bonfire CEO Simon Kabu, media personalities Anita Nderu and Martin Kimathi, and musician Otile Brown.

Taking to social media, Vera, who has been coy with details as she finalises all the details, noted that the Vera Sidika Beauty Parlor has been a “long time coming.”

She wrote, “Yesterday[Sunday] seems surreal, I keep pinching myself because I’m living a dream I’d harbored in my heart and mind for so long. My days of working till 3am have paid off and I finally get to reveal this new business I’ve built from the ground up. I didn’t grow up with everything handed to me, but I chose to rise above my circumstances and work hard to create the businesses of my dreams. This right here is my proudest moment.”

From pictures shared on social platforms, the parlour is quite elegant and lavish, with Vera’s target market being high-end clients.

The beauty parlour is Vera’s fourth business venture after her hair extension business, detox tea, and Veetox Herbal Detox which has been in business for a year since the official launch in May 2017.
