No sooner had Chinasa Udeala switched to gospel music than blessings started flowing her way. Lol!

The songbird’s husband, Chinasa Udeala, is the new General Manager for Safaricom’s Songa Music. In a statement sent to newsrooms, Safaricom described Udeala as one of “Africa’s top music streaming business experts”.

The Nigerian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North London and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing from University of Greenwich–London.

Until his appointment to Songa, Chinasa Udeala was the Regional Director East Africa of Boom play Music where he helped grow the streaming business significantly.

“I am very passionate about the Kenyan and African music industry. I want to help establish Songa as the leading platform for Local, African and international music in Kenya and on the continent,” said Udeala.

Udeala and Amani got married in a low-key wedding last year, with the singer describing her husband as “loving, caring and understanding. He makes me feel like a superwoman.”
