P-Unit Back Like They Never Left! Watch Their Blazing Comeback Hit ‘Chocha’ -VIDEO

June 11, 2018

How great is it to have P-unit back in the studio again? It has been a long three years without music from the three Genge princes but they say they are back to stay.

P-Unit, who took over the Genge mantle from the self-proclaimed Godfather of the urban Nairobi street genre, Nonini, have officially marked their comeback with the release of ‘Chocha,’ a Sheng phrase used to mean exaggerating.

The track is exactly what the industry has been lacking as there haven’t been enough Genge acts repping the culture big time. In ‘Chocha’, the trio of Bon Eye, Frasha, and Gabu do what they are known best for – keeping it real Genge style. They address how people lead fake and exaggerated lives on social media.

The track is produced by Magix Enga. The video was directed by Enos Olik on location Kalista Villas Diani, La Marina Mtwapa, and Kiambu.
