Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered a Sh300,000 reward on information that could lead to the arrest of a notorious gang that has been terrorizing Eastlands residents.
Sonko further shared CCTV footage showing the gang in action at a barber shop next to Hodi Hodi bar in Maringo shopping center near Jogoo road police station.
In the two-minute clip, the gang of four men is seen storming the barber shop and brandishing a pistol. They proceed to rough up customers and rob them of their valuables before making a quick exit.
The faces of the gang members can be clearly seen, with the gun-toting suspect believed to be the gang’s leader.
Sonko said the suspects are armed with two pistols and have been terrorising Eastlands residents along Jogoo, Likoni, Bunyala, and Enterprise roads.
The governor also shared a phone number through which the public can provide useful information about the criminals. Sonko added that any information given will be treated with confidentiality.
“I’m seeking for public assistance from anyone who will give information leading to the arrest of the gangsters. A REWARD of Ksh 300,000 shall be paid for this useful information. Call or text details to 0722886600 information given will be treated with confidentiality,” said Sonko.
