Remember Sarah Ikumu? The 15-year-old(now 16) Kenyan girl living in England who mesmerized judges and viewers alike with her performance at Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) show in April last year.

Well, the vastly talented songbird has once again done what she does best; blowing people’s minds away with her beautiful voice and incredible vocal range.

And she did at an equally big stage as Britain’s Got Talent as she performed “Glory” by musicians John Legend and Common at the Apollo Theatre during the recording of ‘Showtime At The Apollo’.

To say that she blew the audience away would be an understatement: she received a standing ovation 15 seconds into her performance because that’s what stars are made of.

It is also worth noting that the Apollo audience is famed as one of entertainment’s most boisterous and brutally honest.

Hosted by comedian Steve Harvey, ‘Showtime At The Apollo’ is a one-hour weekly series which provides a platform for up-and-coming artists to perform in front of the toughest audience in the world.

The Apollo Theatre is credited with launching the careers of many iconic artists, including James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five, D’Angelo and countless others.

Sarah Ikumu might have finished 7th on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, where she was got a rare golden buzzer from judge Simon Cowell and proceeded straight to the semi-final, but her star continues to shine as evidenced by her performance at the Apollo.

Watch it below. If this doesn’t give you chills, I don’t know what will.
