NASA Supporter Fulfills Promise to Shave 10-Year Dreadlocks After Raila Takes Oath [Photos]

A die-hard Raila supporter from Siaya on Tuesday cut off his dreadlocks to celebrate the NASA leader’s ‘swearing-in’ as the ‘People’s President’.

David Oguyo, a businessman in Siaya, said that he first decided to have the dreadlocks following the alleged stolen victory of Odinga in the 2007 general elections.

Oguyo said he was infuriated by the manner in which the 2007 elections were allegedly rigged and vowed not to shave them until such a time when Odinga takes the oath of office as the President of this country.

His ten-year wait finally came to an end on Tuesday as Raila took oath at Uhuru Park in an event that fellow co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi missed.

But Oguyo, a father of six termed the ceremony as hope for a better life. He said that Raila Odinga is the only person who can liberate this country from what he referred to as ‘the yoke of dictatorship and bad leadership’.

The NASA supporter now awaits Odinga to give the way forward.
