Captivating CCTV footage has emerged showing an attempted robbery incident on Sunday night in Nairobi’s affluent suburb, Karen along Korongo Road.

As the story goes, a gang of five heavily armed men raided the home belonging to a director at Mombasa Maize Millers who was hosting his friends at around 1:20 am. The robbery attempt occurred as the homeowner was seeing off his guests.

In the CCTV footage, a man believed to be one of the guests is seen watching as other guests boarded their vehicles to leave before the armed thugs struck.

The man, sensing danger as the gang forces its way into the compound, can be seen rushing back into the house before one gunman opens fire from what looks like an AK-47.

As the firing gunman chases after the guest, the remaining thugs can be seen closing the gate and forcing their way into one of the guests’ vehicles.

In a second footage, the homeowner, a licensed gun holder, is seen exchanging fire with the thugs using a Roni Civilian C-G2 Pistol.

According to reports, the brave homeowner shot dead one and seriously injured two others. The thugs managed to escape as the dead thug succumbed to his injuries on the farm next to the host’s property.
