The self-proclaimed Rapcellency Prezzo still got it, musically speaking. The King of Bling was once a major player in the Kenyan and East Arica rap scene and was best known for hits such as ‘Naleta Action’, ‘Let’s Get Down’, ‘Mimi na Wewe’ and ‘Mafans’, among others.
He was widely accepted in East Africa and his popularity heightened by his flossing antics. However, the rapper’s sideshows appeared to overshadow his undeniable musical talent, culminating in the rapper’s appearance on the seventh season of the Big Brother Africa and more recently, Kenya’s premier reality television show ‘Nairobi Diaries.’
Despite a couple of recent releases, Prezzo is yet to fully reclaim the glory. However, the signs are positive if his latest project is anything to go by.
Dubbed ‘Vumilia’, the deeply personal song has reminded fans of the Prezzo that topped music charts years back.
‘Vumilia’ was produced by Sappy, a well-known producer from Tanzania but based in Nairobi Kenya. The video was directed by Cream Vision directors, based in Kenya.
