Singer/songwriter Judith Nyambura, better known by her mononym Avril, can now add a new accolade to her already growing collection.
The 31-Year-Old singer, who was born and raised in Nakuru, has been awarded a certificate of recognition from her home county. The recognition is “in appreciation of Avril’s outstanding contribution to the music industry.”
The ‘Hakuna Yule’ singer received the certificate yesterday at the Office of the Governor Nakuru County. She was accompanied by her mother and brother for the visit.
The Kaka Empire nightingale also held talks with Dep. County Governor Korir and Min. Of Trade, industrialization, Marketing and Tourism’s Dr. Ketyenya.
Details of their discussion remain scanty but Avril has promised to share in due time.
She took to social media to express her delight, posting: “Today marked a day that really made me feel extremely humbled. I was invited to the Office of the Governor Nakuru County to receive a Certificate of Recognition for my participation in the music industry by the County that brought me up 🤗.
