Controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi is not exactly famous for exercising care or caution in the things he says. His words either on Twitter or on his blog have often put him in trouble, sometimes even legal trouble. His fight with Safaricom and particularly the CEO Bob Collymore is well documented.
He has also often come under attack for saying some nasty things against female celebrities, including recently when he made a distasteful rape comment on radio presenter Adelle Onyango.
A few months ago, Nyakundi was again under attack after he ‘killed’ veteran media personality Leonard Mambo Mbotela. He took to his various social media channels to proclaim that Mbotela had died in a road accident, only for the man to emerge and rubbish the claims.
Yesterday, Nyakundi was once again in his usual self, spreading another piece fake news.
On his Telegram group and also on Twitter, he alerted his followers that Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok had been involved in a road accident. This was just a day after the grisly accident that took the life of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru.
It was obvious that his fake news was intended to spread panic, to support previous claims he had made that the Dr. Gakuru’s accident was an assassination.
The Narok governor did not take it lightly though. He took to Twitter to rubbish the rumours and castigate the originator.
As expected, Nyakundi neither retracted nor apologized for his statements.
