Following an eye-witness account of both the Nakuru chopper crash and the Kabati accident that claimed the life of Nyeri Governor, the whole country is still puzzled by the mysterious eyewitness.

The man, identified as Dennis Muigai Ngengi, was interviewed at the scene of the October 21 Nakuru crash, where an aircraft under Flex Air Charters plunged into Lake Nakuru. He claimed that he was a state pilot and a friend to the late Apollo Malowa, the pilot who perished in the helicopter crash.

Then the shocker came on Tuesday, November 7, when Muigai reappeared at the scene of the Kabati accident along Thika-Murang’a road that claimed the life of Governor Dr. Wahome Gakuru.

Spotting his signature video recording sunglasses, Dennis narrated how Gakuru’s driver had swerved to avoid hitting a motorcyclist.

When reached out by mainstream media to explain the puzzling coincidence, Muigai denied being the witness from the Nakuru air crash incident saying that he is a businessman who imports and sells goods locally.

Kenyans even went overboard and claimed that Colonel Ranka, the bespectacled man who was seated behind the president at the All Saints Cathedral this past Sunday was the same man. But Ranka is the lead bodyguard who is in-charge of the presidential security’s “first ring”.

Until now, Muigai remains an enigma and Kenyans have called for investigations into the man. Another section of Kenyans on the internet have created humor out of the whole saga by coming up with the Eyewitness Challenge, where they share pictures of their best impressions of Muigai.

We have compiled some of the best below.
