American hip hop recording artist Belcalis Almanzar better known by her stage name Cardi B is the latest American star to acknowledge love from a Kenyan matatu.

Over the weekend, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper who doubles up as a television personality took to her Instagram page to share with her over 13 million followers a picture of a Kenyan matatu. The pink matatu, christened ‘C’Zer’, has been branded with her image at the front.

It is common in Kenyan matatu culture to brand public service vehicles with famous and popular figures, from sportsmen to singers to politicians.

An elated Cardi B sent her love to her supporters and said she hopes to visit one day.

“This in Kenya,Africa !!!???❤️❤️❤️I Love it .I wanna cry this made me really happy !Shout to all my supporters in Africa !!Hope i visit one day.”

Cardi B’s acknowledgment comes two weeks after NBA superstar Stephen Curry also appreciated love from Kenya.
