Forget the rumors that have been whirling around Kenyan Showbiz circles that claim Nazizi is struggling musically. Her former Necessary Noize colleague, Wyre, has slammed the rumors, insisting that she is still in high demand.

This is despite reports that efforts Nazizi has made so far to rekindle her once-flourishing career have not borne fruit if radio airplay were to be used as a measure of success.

She released the mildly successful “Bring back the noise”, “254”, “Wedding ring” and “Over You” and then went silent again.

But according to Wyre, Kenya’s First Lady of hip hop has been busy with shows.

“I would differ with that, I don’t think Naz is struggling. You would be shocked the number of times Naz has gigs in Coast, TZ (Tanzania) or Uganda. Right now she is in Norway for a concert tour. She has actually been very busy.

The fact that you don’t see her on media doesn’t mean she is not doing well. She is pretty much busy to an extent that at times when I want us to have a studio session together, she is never available. What does that tell you, that there is demand for her music,” said Wyre.

The duo has teamed once again for the remix of Chin Bees’ hit ‘Nyonga Nyonga.’ Chin Bees is recording and performing artist currently ruling the airwaves in Tanzania. In a bid to break into the Kenyan market, the Wanene Entertainment rapper has tapped Khaligraph Jones and the former Necessary Noize members.
