Machakos County governor Dr Alfred Mutua has taken another swipe at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

According to Mutua, NASA and its presidential candidate Raila Odinga have shortchanged Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka.

“Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been short changed by the National Super Alliance and its flag bearer Raila Odinga,” said Mutua.

Mutua was speaking at Kakuyuni town in Kangundo on Wednesday. He declared that Kalonzo stands no chance of being nominated as the Nasa presidential candidate in the 2022 general elections.

According to Mutua, Musyoka will be subjected to nominations instead of being handed a direct presidential ticket. This will see the Wiper leader miss out on the NASA ticket to Musalia Mudavadi.

“If Odinga wins the presidency, Kalonzo will not get a direct ticket to be the alliance flag bearer in 2022 but will be subjected to nominations. And with western Kenya having a larger voting block than eastern, the most likely candidate will be Musalia Mudavadi.”

Mutua, who reiterated his commitment to contest for the presidency after Uhuru finishes his final term, said the best option for Ukambani residents is to re-elect Uhuru who will return the favor in 2022 by mobilising Central Kenya votes so he can take over.
