Controversial Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is at it again.
Less than a week since he was arrested over his utterances, the MP has now issued a threat to NASA flagbearer Raila should he stop the upcoming election.
The Opposition chiefs led by Raila Odinga have continued to demand changes at IEBC threatening there will be no election if the IEBC Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba and his team do not step aside.
“IEBC is the thief that stole the elections on behalf of Jubilee. This is the Kibra Declaration. There will be no election on October 17 if our demands are not met. It will not happen,” said Raila.
NASA has listed nine demands it termed as the ‘irreducible minimum’ for the fresh elections, including contracting a new printer for poll materials and exclusion of 11 poll agency officials.
Kuria has responded to Raila’s threat with another threat.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Kuria said the government will put Raila under house arrest if he tries to block the repeat poll.
” If Raila tries to stop us from voting on 17th October, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did to Jaramogi.”
Kuria was referencing Oginga’s house arrest in Kisumu following the failed coup of 1982 against Moi’s government.
