What is done in the dark will eventually come to light. The long speculated affair between Diamond Platnumz and Hamisa Mobetto has finally been confirmed by the main man himself.
The ‘Bongo Flava’ heartthrob has admitted to cheating on his partner, Zari Hassan, with the Tanzanian beauty.
Diamond made the admission during a candid interview with Tz’s Clouds FM yesterday. He also owned up to impregnating the video vixen who stars in his recent hit song “Salome.”
According to Diamond, he feels guilty about his actions and blames the devil.
(The devil took over me and that is when we started the illicit love affair.)
Diamond further explained that Zari was aware the whole time of what happened between him and Mobetto while she was busy taking care of her businesses in South Africa.
He said he was able to explain to Zari what transpired between him and Mobetto and she was fully supportive of him.
(These things happen in life but the most important thing is how you deal with it as a man. There is no need of creating a war where there is none. Later on in life, the children will grow up together and they will be happy as a family.)
In the interview, Diamond also refuted claims that he wanted to be a dead-beat father by earlier own disowning the baby.
The singer had accused Hamisa of being an attention seeker after she went public about their son.
In the interview, Diamond said that he and the model had an agreement that he would provide for the child and in return, Mobetto would remain silent on the issue so as not to hurt Zari but she decided to break the truce.
“Hamisa mobetto alipopata ujauzito.
The Wasafi Records founder and CEO said he has done everything possible to ensure Mobetto and the baby are well-taken care off including buying her a new car and paying monthly upkeep.
Diamond also used the opportunity to apologise to Zari and their children. He said he would not be breaking up with Zari and that he would do anything to earn her forgiveness.
“Kikubwa leo nataka kumuomba samahani mke wangu Zari na watoto wangu kwa makosa niliyofanya,” said Diamond.
“Mimi siwezi kuachana na Zari nipo radhi kutembea kwa magoti kutoka hapa hadi Sauzi ili mradi anisamehe.”
The singer also took to social media to unveil his one-month-old son Abdul Latif Naseeb Abdul Juma, who was named his father Abdul Naseeb.
