Another school fire has gutted down a dormitory at Bahati Girls Primary School in Nakuru County.
Reports indicate the fire broke out when the pupils were having lunch.
According to area AP commander Francis Mwangi, there were no casualties or injuries from the inferno. The dormitory housed 60 pupils.
Efforts to put out the fire by members of the public were futile and the county fire brigade team arrived hours later.
The police boss said the fire is being investigated. They suspect it was started by an electrical fault.
The incident comes days after a fire claimed the lives of nine students at Moi Girls High School in Nairobi.
Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said the fire was as a result of arson and investigations have been launched.
