A wise man once said that success is a journey, not a destination. He added that the doing is often more important than the outcome.

On that note, KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo is without a doubt one of Kenya’s success stories in the journalism sector. Starting out as an intern at KTN, Betty has risen the ranks over the years to become one of the most watched news presenters.

But before she ever graced our screens for our viewing pleasure, the SOMA Media Personality of the Year was a model strutting her stuff for photographers.

On Thursday, she stunned her social media followers after sharing a photo showing when she modeled for a local daily pull out a few years ago.

And because the doing is often more important than the outcome, Betty probably did not expect what followed. She says she became an overnight celebrity.

“This pic was taken when I modeled for a local daily pullout a few years ago. See how I tried to look fierce! It was such a big deal I became a celebrity overnight for my peeps back in Mwingi. It was all about “Niwonie Mwiitu wa Kyallo,” posted Betty.
