The maize flour menace continues to plague the country even after the Jubilee government subsidized prices to Sh90 per 2kg packet last month.

While the move was received well by most Kenyans, it has become apparent that a shortage still persists as most supermarkets only allow 2 packets per customer.

In some worst case scenarios, some traders have been repackaging the subsidized maize flour and re-selling at a higher price.

In the meantime, Kenyans on social media have continued to express their frustrations with some individuals castigating the Jubilee government for prioritizing infrastructure development like SGR over the rising cost of basic commodities.

One such individual went to the very extreme to drive his point home by boiling a bulb, nuts and bots, and construction pebbles to represent electricity, SGR and roads launched by Jubilee.

In the clip, the unidentified man says: ‘Heh! Jamani..Leo tunakula stima, tunakula reli na tunakula barabara. Asante sana Jubilee. Hakuna Unga kabisa.”
