The owner of popular Nairobi eatery Ranalo Foods restaurant was on Thursday shot and seriously wounded in Kasarani area.
William Osewe was shot three times in the stomach. One of the bullets is said to have exited and hit a guard. Osewe was rushed AAR Healthcare at Mountain Mall before he was transferred to Aga Khan Hospital.
He was attacked by a man identified as Oywa Mboya, a licensed firearm holder. Mr Mboya surrendered to police and was disarmed.
According to Mboya, Osewe had confronted him first and he acted in self-defense.
